Sailing Program Volunteers

The Yukon Breeze Sailing Society is looking for volunteers for the summer season. Ideally you would commit to join us for a few evenings a month to help with some of our summer programs. In addition to becoming a part of the Yukon sailing community, we offer our volunteers sailing and learning opportunities.

Volunteers are needed for drop in nights (every Tuesday) and regatta events (scheduled throughout the summer). Volunteer tasks include: 

• Helping with rigging and launching

• Driving the safety boat (volunteers who are operating the safety boat need their Pleasure Craft Operators Card)

• General administrative tasks (taking waivers and payments) 

• Giving pointers / tips to new sailors 

• Helping with clean up and take down

• Race committee (regattas only)

• Shore personnel (regattas only)

  Required Certifications:

• No sailing experience is necessary. We have many roles that volunteers can fill!

• Pleasure Craft Operators Card (optional - needed to operate to coach boat)
