Instructor Clinic

We are hosting a Sailing Instructor Clinic in Whitehorse to provide an opportunity for sailors to learn new skills and with the hopes to increase our capacity for sailing instruction in the Yukon. This clinic is geared toward future instructors who have not taken any of the CANSail instructor courses previously. In a week of training we hope to go over the CANSail curriculum and teach the fundamentals of sailing instruction.

Sailor Requirements:

• must have sailing experience and be capable of rigging, steering and docking the sailboat. CANSail Level 3 or higher is preferred, though having CanSAIL levels is not necessarily a pre-requiste.

• must be 16 years of age or older

• a Pleasure Craft Operators Card is considered an asset for participating in this clinic but is not needed

Dates: June 16th - 20th 2025

Time: 9:00am-4:00pm

Cost: $250
