Adult Sailing Lessons
We offer both beginner and intermediate sailing lessons.
Participants will have an opportunity to sail on our fleet's singlehanded (one person) Lasers and doublehanded (two person) Collegiate Flying Juniors.
Beginner Lessons:
Over the course of three evenings (or a weekend), our objective is to get people sailing safely and confidently on their own. Participants will learn the basics of rigging a sailboat, skippering and an understanding of the points of sail.
Beginner lessons are perfect for someone who has never been sailing before, someone who has been sailing as a crew a few times or maybe learned as a kid and has not been out again since.
Intermediate Lessons:
Intermediate lessons are for people who have the basics of sailing down. Participants will already know how to rig a sailboat, points of sail and basic skippering techniques.
These lessons are intended to get sailors feeling more confident in their sailing skills, integrate fundamental boat handling manoeuvers and balance with basic tactics and strategy as well as applied sail trim.

Some days are just not made for sailing. No wind, excessive wind, thunder and lightening or other weird Yukon weather may cause us to cancel lessons. If your lesson is cancelled it will be rescheduled. The make up lesson schedule is below.
We do still sail in colder Yukon summer temperatures and even when it is a bit rainy. Dress appropriately.
Make up lessons will only be offered if we have to cancel due to weather. They will not be offered to participants who miss lessons etc.
